Didn't think it was appropriate in the OpenWRT forums, but I'll try there also.

Thanks.

Buffalo Technologies LinkStation HD-HLAN 160 GB NAS

Calling all hackerz,

I just got the new Buffalo LinkStation 160 GB Network Attached Storage (NAS). From my initial understanding, LinkStation has a Linux-based kernel, have anyone tried to re-flash the firmware to include a sshd or telnetd? The only sites I can find are mostly in Japanese.

Re: Apache and java

If you want to bridge Apache web server with Tomcat JSP/Servlet, you will need mod_jk.

See http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-4.1-doc/jk2/

When you say "timeout" problem, do u mean when u try to re-flash the firmware with a designated "good" image build using tftp? If u can ping the LinkSys router, u should be able to upload a good firmware image using tftp. Make sure u set your host machine to the same subnet 255.255.255.0 and IP rang...

Thanks for the advice, Void Main! I'm lurking on the OpenWRT forum for more info. http://wiki.openwrt.org/BuildingPackagesHowTo I also have to say that you will probably get much better answers on http://forum.openwrt.org/ by people who know a lot more about this stuff than I. I haven't had a lot of...

I have HyperWRT + tofu v12 installed and tried to build cross compile with latest version of uclibc++, but was unsuccessful. I did manage to download and build the latest "stable" RC4 release of OpenWRT (aka "white russain"). Is there any sample Makefile for add customized C++ apps? Thanks, ~Peter W...

Re: CROSS COMPILE; TRANSFER AND EXECUTE

I have a similar problem. Cross compiling C++ programs (e.g. Hello World) using mipsel-linux-g++ from the default LinkSys GPL build compiles fine, but run-time execution will give the "no found" message. I was not able to compile C++ Hello World program using the mipsel-uclibc-g++ (which btw soft li...

This is an awesome WRT54G/GL revival tip. I bought the new GL v4 recently and bricked it over the weekend. After some googling, this site shows up and this hardware reset tip works great. Thanks, dude!!! This inspired a new WRT54G tip on how to revive it: http://voidmain.is-a-geek.net:81/redhat/wrt5...

C++ Experiences on LinkSys WRT54GL

Hi, I just got a new WRT54GL router which is just a repackaged WRT54 v4 with "L" for Linux. I'm trying to run an embedded C++ HTTP daemon similar to the default httpd one included by default but mines supports WebDAV (Web Distributed Authoring and Version) protocol (foot print is ~394 KB stripped). ...
