Don't I need to reinstall grub on the new disk after that?
cos just copying files won't make the disk bootable, will it?

I'm still, sorry, on F12 and sure need to upgrade. Way back when I first had a bad disk on the "system" disk that one was 80G, I only had a 200G lying around. Next time that happened my other 200G wasn't "big" enough it said, so I put a 500G in there. Now it seems I got more bad ...

...and when trying again(my nick and 'sendmail'), I just get my previous reply(in this post) Seems to me like the search don't go through old posts, or like an index has been "nullified" when you upgraded, if you get my point. (like in here: http://voidmain.is-a-geek.net/forums/viewtopic.p...

well yeah THAT I get, but then I want to narrow it down a bit with words... that just gets zip.
try the my nick and 'sendmail', you get nothing and you KNOW I made a lot of that :P

Did you make any changes to the search in the old forum?
'cos this version of the search ain't good :(
I've tried to search for my own posts but can't find them.
I used to do that since I use this place as a "dictionary" of stuff I need to look up again... due to bad memory :P

The bad part is that my knockd keeps hanging it seems. After one day it won't work, so I have to kick it out and restart it, thus making me not get in when I want to.
Is that the normal way? if so, how can I keep restating it every day?

...but I cant see find version info.

well...
first, have no clue what log to look in, second... I was trying to UP the NIC like 10 seconds after it was done trying
so my patients wasn't like that good :P
