Here I am trying to fix the new mail server and this time it's supposed to use my ISP's server so it won't get blacklisted. (private account scrambled) sendmail.mc: divert(-1)dnl dnl # dnl # This is the sendmail macro config file for m4. If you make changes to dnl # /etc/mail/sendmail.mc, yo...

Most logs I create my own. One is where I copy some files to my "backup" directory and later rar them to one file, split them up and mail my gmail account. another is my nightly rkhunting log, another is a log from some database reorganizations. A long time ago, like Fedora 5 or 6, they di...

Nightly logs not separated

I usually get some 4 to 6 nightly logs every day. the first one is always just that log, but all others are "melted" together in one big M...F... file :( And since one of the logs log every row affected it sure gets big and this log always gets in the top of everything else, thus making me...

That I can understand, but I still haven't made enough changes to a network card yet with and without dhcp, so I can't remember all settings.
and they keep changing too between new releases... well almost between everyone

I removed the /etc/X11/xorg.conf and it worked. Have you any idea why?
Think this has happened before too.

After F12 upgrade 'startx' just hangs

I use runlevel 3 as standard but sometime I need a GUI.
How can I fix this? How can I find some errors or such. Can I uninstall KDE/Gnome and reinstall it and that might fix it?

OK, I'll have a look around too.
Also, since I don't use it I should be able to uninstall it right?

And I'm gonna use resize2fs -p /dev/sdc to grow the ext4 since that seems to handle ext4 too

Updates added but I still need to use the 'rd_NO_DM' command which I now added to the kernel parameters. Cant understand why tho, can you? I just mkfs.ext4 /dev/sdc and asked me if I wanted to use the entire disk and I said yes. Later when I moved all data to this new disk, removed the faulty ones a...

I'm DLing the DVD and gonna try that. btw, do you have some knowledge about a program that can do the same? like backup and restoring partitions/disks. It should be able to han...

Just did what I believed would fix it, but as always... no luck :( it still boots :) ... and I saw that some packages was named for F12, but... :( :( after all this and a restart; [basher52@unknown ~]$ uname -a Linux unknown.host 2.6.27.41-170.2.117.fc10.i686 #1 SMP Thu Dec 10 11:00:29 EST 2009 i686...

What you say sure makes me feel good. When dealing with winblows(as I work with that but losing my job after next week) when some stuff goes bad, you get a BSOD and you gotta do it all from the start. Since I didn't know and did what you said pushing those keys, I'll try a 'yum update' and if it don...
