But I didn't get your answer, can you use '' to make the "word" more than just one word. or haven't you just tried it so you can't say?

Is it possible to replace more then just one word?
like sr 'aa bb cc' 'dd ee ff'? or is it only one word only?

By using more than one word I might lower the risk of replacing the wrong things.

Util for replacing text in files

Is there a utility that can replace text in files? Something like 'grep', it can't matter where in the file the the text is and the the searched text should be replaced with what I write as replacement. It also don't matter if it has to be used with other thing like 'grep' to find the files and pipe...

I found it and it had nothing to do with apache or anything.
I was inside the php scripts for VirtueMart that had a reference into the wrong url :P

and even more and more lately. I've seen services that seems to be running but they have just stopped working and a restart will fix it.

OK, that I can get. It works at home now but not from work yet.

But how does no-ip work then? If I make a change there it works in like 30 seconds everytime.

that's kinda funny, cos about a week ago when I called them and asked them to point the domain to this address and started to work after 6-7 minustes. Too bad though 'cos later when I asked them to do the MX Records too they saw that the account didn't imply the DNS service so they removed it. So ho...
