no no, I didn't mean that, if you thinks it's ok then I'll tell him and he'll be glad. He just wondered and since I dont have a DSL router, I have no clue but I knew I saw something about this router in here so I figured... why not ask.

I'll try it, but they migrated the email address from the old ISP so they should be able to handle it.

UPDATE: same error occurs whereever I write the "new" address

If you get it set up like I suggest you should be able to authenticate your smtp connection from any IP address and not be restricted to what you list in /etc/mail/access. Any address you put in there will be for unauthenticated relay addresses (you shouldn't need anything more than "localhost...
