I'm kinda seeing things more clearly now lol I've been partying and now when I read it it sure stands out as an idiot post :( sorry mate and I understand if you won't be bothered with the post. My question is how I, if it even is possible, create one big partition that's bigger than 2 TBytes and as ...
fdisk won't see the 2,5Tb disk just 2Tb, the same with parted.
and if I partition all the space I get a 2Tb disk.
I've been googling and I've found ppl saying that there is a limit of 2Tb
or is it?
Is this possible? if it is how do I fix this? I have bought a RAID card and I'm supposed to do a 2,5 Tb disk, buy I'm having big problems doing that, so for know I just partitioned them in the RAID manager program. but now I just realized, DOH!, that I cant resize it if isn't one big array. so I hav...

hmm wierd
my new installation of FC6 is on a 16GB partition and that also
includes 'rysnc' of all updates available and all that only take 2,7G
and this inludes KDE, so I have 13G left, no Open Office though
You say you have a 10GB for /
I've always had that and my space is never out, but I do mount xtra space under /home and other places and that are other physical disks.
what kind of files do you place under / ?
but on the other hand with 320GB disk,
you could easily make 20Gb for /
In this too curious I am, cos I've always made a fresh install when so much hardware is changed, but if Linux is able to do this... could be cool to hear

Me too thinks that I can figure out the hardware for it, but I don't wanna exceed too much and since the server is gonna be placed at my apartment I sure want it to be quiet too, thus no extreamly "beefy" machine.
Can anyone tell me what kind of harware I need for a webserver using: OS: CentOS 4.4 (what's best 32bit or 64bit?) and by this OS I think these versions are included: Apache 2.1 MySQL 4.1 php-mysql 4.3 The webserver is gonna be Joomla and modules/components for that. I can't think that no more than ...
