well...i havent reinstall or anything yet so i can give you some data about it... but the problem is that the error is ONLY 'Segmentaion fault' no other data can be found near the problem. eg. when i try to use glupdate, a bin that should update the directories that glftpd uses, i get 'Segmentation ...

i keep getting 'Segmenation fault' in someplaces nowadays and in places that i do know has worked, and if i have got this right... its the same as M$ GPF...or?

and as i have no idea how to fix it, i just reinstall it all :P

well.. i did this this by doing all the IP's repeateadly(sp) by dubbling all the IP-rows in 2(two)rows thereby doubling the IP's...if you get the picture(?) i saw this "patch" at this place and just wondered... should i apply it? to Fedora or Redhat)...it doesnt matter, cuz i think my installationg ...

iptables & multiport

I tried to use multiport to allow some ports in the fw-script, but it seems that it cant handle portranges :( I found this thru google: http://www.netfilter.org/documentation/pomlist/pom-base.html (find Andreas Ferber's input) It says that this is not supported in the original version unless u patch...

thx for the input...but since im gonna!! reinstall with the fedora core...
i wont bother this warning/error due 2 the fact that the the keyboard seems 2 work(this fact comes from another thread)

im a user at: LinuxISO.org if uve heard of it(?) and have got some help from there too...for one guy...for my starting iptables problem, and i thank him. but if u say fedore is somewhat better RH9...i think im gonna do the test... as im a n00b...im gonna test it..lol, even if i run it as production ...

yep...you're rite...im using kernel: 2.4.20-8 of RH9

i dont feel like upgrdaing to Fedore...not just yet...since ive heard alot that it aint even close to be as stable as RH9 or even RH8

well...You are "on the nose".. :P The prefix IS ftp...and add some :) but...the function of the keyboard(locally...at the console) works great... and... what does the name of the ftp has to do with the keyboard cofiguration? The question of this i more of a curious mind, since the local keyboard see...

yes...im using an FTP...and offcourse glftpd(the best..lol) but i think i havent seen these MSGs before(i usually look at the message log at finishtime of install) thru all the other reinstalls ive made, and ive made a few...lol....think im up to about 20 now..lol hehe...you learn as you reinstall.....
