cifs problems

I am having troubles mounting anything via cifs in FC5, well basically XP SP2 machines. I get the following error, and I don't see anything highly interesting (or anything at all) show up in dmesg. [root@jane ~]# mount -t cifs -o username=x11,workgroup=klabs 176.16.0.5:/public /lan/kintaro64/public/...

Well, that link about package format further concludes that Solaris is CRAP , I am pretty sure I told you this when you were looking at that sparc box. I'm not a fan either and I've had to deal with it quite a bit over the last 10 years. Fortunately Linux now gets first choice whenever something ne...

Well I installed FC5 on my laptop (I fixed the ACPI bug, which was indeed, a dead beatle on my motherboard, so it was quite a bug). I am quite liking it, wasn't hard (for me) to install a driver for my wireless card, build a kernel, and setup wifi. I am later going to set up WPA, because at the mome...

Is there any particular reason?

That one would get a random segfault in gcc (sparc64/linux-grsec) in a kernel compile, but it works fine the next time?

Seemed kinda bizarre.

Well, that link about package format further concludes that Solaris is CRAP , actually if I ever have my own Media empire, I am going to make sure it gets the Worst Unix of the Year award or something. Having used it, I think it is terrible, and unlike most free BSD and Linux distributions, very poo...

THE LESSER-KNOWN PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES #10: SIMPLE

SIMPLE is an acronym for Sheer Idiot's Monopurpose Programming Language Environment. This language, developed at the Hanover College for Technological Misfits, was designed to make it impossible to write code with errors in it. The statements are, therefore, confined to BEGIN, END and STOP. No matt...

I got sick of the place because people are far to judgemental of someone, just because they make a personal choice to try certain psychdelics. I also left because of someone else who is, a lunatic that tried to manipulate the whole forum into having something against me. They can also say anything b...

I got one of those, but totally different, it was USB only and I found it really lame and slow and I just ended up putting the harddrive in my computer. I might get a firewire enclosure, when I fix my laptop (talking about fixing it, I got it working, there was a dead beatle inside it, all problems ...
