I guess my question is, don't you want the stats for your site displayed when you click on the button? That would not be possible I think, because I have to enter my username and password in order to access my stats, you have to use their code "as is" anyway. And I did it primarily to have an idea ...

I've got a message from my isp saying that they were working on the user-servers and that there could be some glitches now and then, a friend of mine had the same issue with the guestbook yesterday and 20 minutes later all was fine. I never thought of linking the validator gif back to the page, I ju...

My site
Hi all, been kind of away for a while, trying to learn all kinds of stuff. For the 4th time in a row I completely changed my website, trying to take care of the most with css while being html 4.0 compliant. It validates with the w3c validator so I know I'm html 4.0 compliant, but I noticed that peop...

Ok, I changed that last line udp -j REJECT to udp -j ACCEPT and now both XQF and Quake3 can access the Internet servers. But, is that right, shouldn't I specify some ports? I believe I changed it to accept all udp traffic, but isn't that kinda dangerous? Also I don't see any entry for tcp traffic on...

iptables howto?
I have a problem with iptables. I can't connect to any servers with Quake3 anymore, nor will XQF ping any servers. The only thing I've changed is specify a port to open to tcp traffic for Limewire to have access. That was port 6346 and I did that with the gui in the Start here/System settings folder...

I was asking Calum actually :) Sorry, should have used quotes. But to answer your question, yes I restarted X, in fact I've shut down my machine quite often since then since I don't really like to leave it running when I'm gone for a couple of days. Call me paranoiac but the world is full of script ...

That's strange indeed, but since my XF86config did not have the line and Calum had a similar problem it might be useful to add this to the actual tip, just in case some others have the same issue. It's like pc's and OSes have a life of their own, sometimes they do stuff and sometimes they don't, the...

Tip on adding ttf in RH8
Void Main, one of the first things I did when I discovered about your RH tips was installing the MS ttfonts, and from that moment on I have been able to use them in Openoffice and possibly some other porgrams as well. However Mozilla seemed to never use them, I found that a little odd but it didn't ...

Ok, I cleaned up the jre for ppc  Downloaded the 1.4.1 runtime, installed it, seems like everything went ok. But now when I do $Which java I get this [yc@D577254E yc]$ which java /usr/bin/which: no java in (/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/home/yc /bin) And I added the java path to...
