well the problem is that i can't use it. In redhat, it detected both drives and set them up as /dev/cdrom & /dev/cdrom1. In slack all i have is /mnt/cdrom -> /dev/cdrom and that's it. /mnt/cdrom is the drive i used to install it if that helps in anyway. If you want some details they're both LG drive...

How Slack? I can't use my DVD

Hey guys,

this is my third day using Slack and it's growing on me quite rapidly.
One problem though: I can't use my dvd rom.
Slack was able to detect the burner but it left my dvd high and dry.
Please help.

Parttioning in Linux instead of using PM

I would like to start using Linux to partition instead of Partition Magic. But I would still like to use a GUI.

Any ideas,

Movie Man Dan is my name!

Hello my fellow human beings,

I like making movies. But you see my problem is that I only have a movie program for Winblows.

What is that I could use in RH8?

And I am looking for the best and the most reliable.

Thank you,
Buzza

THEN would you go to one of our links, hMm...
