Postby Mushroom Prince » Sat Dec 04, 2004 2:40 pm

I've decided to install redhat 6.2 on a 200mhz 32mb Dell Optiplex I dug out of some old guys garage.

after a while of googling i found this:

http://www.kw.kernel.org/pub/mirrors/re ... /iso/i386/

which of those do I want ?

and don't I need a boot disk ?

many thanks

You're right, it's not very busy. The "i386" ISO would be the installation CD. The "Powertools" CD comes with extra stuff (it's more like a disk 2 of the installation). Of course the "doc" CD contains all the documentation and "srpms" CD contains all the source. So the "i386" CD would be the minimum. Well, you actually don't need any of the CDs, you could just download the floppy image and do a network install but I assume you do not want to do that.

For shipping costs only, I will send you "The Official Redhat Linux 6.0 Installation Guide" - paperback, 410pgs, 1999, RedHat Press. If you're interested.
