util-linux dependencys and stuff

Postby X11 » Fri Mar 04, 2005 7:15 am

Hey, I removed the util-linux RPM packages and manually compiled it the source from the tar.gz file I found on this site: http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Cryptoloop-HO ... tools.html

However my dependancys did not like that, and so I have downloaded an SRPM and compiled it, however how can I turn that into an RPM and install it, or somthing like that?

Are you just doing a normal build or are you adding patches?

Adding patches, otherwise I would just do a apt-get install util-linux without the patches.

I think these should get you going:

viewtopic.php?t=991
viewtopic.php?t=996
viewtopic.php?t=999

and most recently:

viewtopic.php?t=1385

If not, let me know and I'll help you out. That last link talks about adding patches specifically.
