Mplayer in FC5

Post by byrdman » Tue Apr 25, 2006 1:09 pm

has anyone had any trouble getting mplayer install on FC5? APT-GET won't let me because liblzo.so.1 is not installable...? And then on my last apt upgrade it took Synaptic away...

Hmmm, I had a custom built version of MPlayer installed so I uninstalled it and installed the one from FreshRPMS using apt with no problems. Actually I used Synaptic because I went ahead and built a new version and put it in my repository. Feel free to grab it:

http://voidmain.is-a-geek.net/files/RPMS/synaptic/
http://voidmain.is-a-geek.net/files/RPM ... m.i386.rpm

Here's what it installed:
mplayer-skins-1.7-1.fc
mplayer-1.0-0.26.20060314.fc5
mplayer-fonts-1.1-3.fc

Now it looks like I have to reinstall mplayerplug-in because it got removed when I uninstalled my old mplayer:
