rhel5 ntfs support

in fedora 8 i can mount a local ntfs partition and read and write to it .. can this be done in RHEL 5

Since that is a Red Hat commercially supported distribution I would say you should be able to get that question answered through Red Hat.

didn't find anything on redhat .com so thought someone here might have tried it

On fedora you can get pre-built RPMs for ntfs-3g which is a RW ntfs implementation for FUSE.

I imagine the packages are out there, if not for RHEL specifically then CentOS or WhiteBox clones.
