libgcc_s.so.1 can't be found

I now the the machine up and running again but I've seen some errors on libgcc_s.so.1 file.
So far not very crucial but I need to fix it anyways.

The error:
error while loading shared libraries: libgcc_s.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The file exists in: /lib/

I've just added the latest updates but still same problem.
This occurred after I got the new M/B installed.

Any ideas anyone?

Where are you seeing this? What program is producing it? Not enough information to compute. :)

It's a script that looks inside a log file with lots of 'grep', 'awk', 'print', 'substr' and I need to break that down into smaller pieces to know where it really is....
so I have to get back to you on that one

After looking more into this while trying to know what it was that made this, I saw that I couldn't even chroot.
The application is "jailed" and has it's own copy of some bin's and lib's and in there no libgcc_s.so.1 existed so I copied it, but then I got a link error.
so I also copied 'libgcc_s-4.5.1-20100924.so.1' and made a symlink "libgcc_s.so.1 -> libgcc_s-4.5.1-20100924.so.1"

now it's working

btw... Using F14 and the after the latest kernel, 2.6.35.14 this happened.
Tried to find any info about this but nothing found.
Anyone know why this happened with this kernel?
