USB Keychain Hard Drives

Postby edwardsen35 » Fri May 02, 2003 2:30 pm

I was browsing the internet and I came across a USB Keychain Hard Drive. I didn't even know that these things existed. I thought it looked really cool and it didn't look very expensive(32mb for 34 bucks). It also said that you didn't have to load any drivers.
The main reason I thought this thing was really interesting is because I can see it replacing floppy drives(once BIOS allowed you to boot from your USB port).

Does anybody have any thoughts or experiences with it?

It's true you won't have to load any drivers, Red Hat will recognize the device as a USB mass storage device.
All you have to do then is create a mountpoint for it, add it to /etc/fstab and you can use it as any other (external) harddrive.
