Seconds ago I finished writing a terribly long winded pathetic plee for assistance in getting dyndns working on my lan - just before hitting "submit" I realized I wasn't using the -h option for dhcpcd. This post is now pointless.

I'm a little confused. Are you talking about dyndns as in DynDNS or are you talking about Dynamic DNS? If it's the former, I use the "ddclient" service to keep my DNS entries up to date. If it's the latter then I think I'll need a little more info.
