No connection with freshrpms.net...?

Postby insomnia » Thu Mar 04, 2004 9:10 pm

I can't get ANY connections with it....
Fisrt Apt failed:
Code: Select all
Failed to fetch http://ayo.freshrpms.net/fedora/linux/1/i386/RPMS.freshrpms/totem-0.99.9-1.fr.i386.rpm
Could not connect to ayo.freshrpms.net:80 (193.1.219.82), connection timed out [IP: 193.1.219.82 80]

....

So I tried to get them manually ...., same result.

Could their server be down?

Actually Dag, FreshRPMS, and two other major repositories have teamed up and are maintaining compatibility with each other. If you install the dag sources.list as it describes in the instructions it will download and install the new apt, in addition to the sources.list files for all four repositories and place them in the /etc/apt/sources.list.d directory (you should remove your old sources.list file at this point). Then do an "apt-get update" and an "apt-get dist-upgrade" and you will have access to a lot more stuff. I have been running with this setup for about a week now and soon plan to update all of my apt for Red Hat tips.

I can't seem to get to Dag right at the moment though (maybe it's their day to protest).
