knoppix is really good.
I just installed it in my Hard drive and only thing I can say is that it rocks the house.
While running live from the cd hit cntrl alt f1 or f2 and then type knx-hdinstall. The install procedure is straight foward (not GUI).
It comes with ext 2 - 3 and XFS
. I use XFS for both machines.
And it has alot of lightweight GUIS (fluxbox is one) along with kde.
You might also like this one. It uses Debians apt -get to install programs. I havent checkjed yet what repository its using but its sweet as hell.
