Can't wait to try this one out.
I don't know how many of you know Libranet but it is an outstanding distro, very Debian-like but newbie-friendly with almost everything working right out of the box and some very neat configuration utilities like xadminmenu.

I guess I'll have to try it out since I have some free drive space.

For the moment you can download the 2.8.1 version for free.
They always do that before they release a new version.

I thought it was a bit odd that you wanted to try it out since it's a non-free distro :D
But nevertheless it's an excellent distro.

I think Libranet stands to be challenged by Ubuntu.

They will even ship you a CD (or 100) for free!

I havn't used it yet, but Linux Format had only kind words and i've had several recommendations from friends. It seems debian has finally gotten the kick up the backside needed to hit the big time with desktop doofuses :)

Now that is interesting. I wonder how they fund the free CD shipping? Donations? I'm sure it's on their site. I will go continue reading.
