Make my own distro

If I where supposed to do my own distro, but just for myself
- is that hard?
- and which distro should i start with? (including kernel and tcp/ip and
dhcp) this one should be extremely small, just so i can add wutever i
want.
- or can i just beging with kernel and add support for tcp/ip and dhcp(so i
can start downloading other stuff to add into it)
- and to the big final question... is it easy enough to add all the wanted
apps into a bootable, installable ISO?

I've been using RH 9 and now i have RC1 installed(but thinking of do a
complete reinstall with FC2, cuz i think ive messed it up...lol.
My expirience with Linux is less than good, but Im starting to get a hang
of whe i can get info and help... like here

You can use whatever distro you want as a base, or you don't have to use any distro at all and get all the source packages from their respective homes. For instance you would get the kernel from http://www.kernel.org/, you would get the base GNU utils from http://www.gnu.org/. You would get your web server from http://www.apache.org/, etc, etc. Mandrake started out using Red Hat as a base, as did several others. Knoppix and Xandros started out using Debian as a base, as did many many many others. You might also consider looking at "Linux From Scratch":
