balsa

Postby worker201 » Mon Jun 13, 2005 3:16 pm

I have been getting a pretty strange error message from balsa recently. Every time I try to compose a message, it tells me:

Cannot open signature file '/home/mailsignature.txt' for reading

It does this 3 times and then lets me compose. Of course my signature is missing from the email.

Funny thing is, I can open the file in gedit with no problems. The permissions on the file are rwxrxrx. That sounds kinda wrong, but I don't know how that would affect balsa.

Suggestions?

Looks like nobody saw this message? Perhaps nobody but me uses balsa?

Are you sure "/home/mailsignature.txt" exists? /home would be an odd directory to store it. I would think you would want it in something like /home/worker/.

Yeah, you're right, that is kinda suspicious. How did it get that way? It worked before, and the signature has always been in /home/lholcombe.

Well, anyway, works now!

thanks.
