Then again one can argue that an older version of 2.6 will provide best of both worlds: a new kernel + a more mature kernel than the latest and greatest release of the 2.6 version kernels.
I am talking about server side in specific.
There are custom made kernel trees out there but frankly if I dont test them my self, I do not trust them. I might as well make my own custom kernel tree (which I am seriously thinking about it).
PS: I couldnt find a more suitable forum to post this, that is why I chose General Applications. I think, and that is only my oppinion, that a Kernel forum would be very handy, provided though that people will show interest in tweaking and experimenting with the kernel (which I think it is the most fun part of using Linux)
