I use ogle

I'd tried mplayer even after emerging the needed libs but it still was stubborn

ogle was pretty easy to set up and has support for menus and for selecting angles/subtitles/chapters/sound


I give it a thumbs up

But ogle is so choppy. I like the fact it supports menus and that getting encrypted DVD's to play was easy(however illegal in the US), but the choppiness sucks.
