Weird error

Postby Basher52 » Tue Nov 25, 2008 12:17 am

Code: Select all
--------------------- Kernel Begin ------------------------

 WARNING:  Kernel Errors Present
    ACPI Error (psparse-0530):  ...:  3 Time(s)
    Buffer I/O error on device sdh1,  ...:  8 Time(s)
    EXT3-fs error (device sdh1): e ...:  8 Time(s)
    lost page write due to I/O error on sdh1 ...:  8 Time(s)

 ---------------------- Kernel End -------------------------

and these are the drives I have
Code: Select all
/dev/sda  /dev/sda1  /dev/sda2  /dev/sda3  /dev/sda4  /dev/sdb  /dev/sdb1  /dev/sdc  /dev/sdc1  /dev/sdc2  /dev/sdc3  /dev/sdd

where sda is the OS disk

I have been fiddling with the disk some time now so the sdh might have existed. Is there another way to see that and maybe to get more data in this? dmesg don't say anything about this.

and some other thing I found in the dmesg
What are these?
The first is about the disks, but they do work.
The second and third I have no idea what that is.
Code: Select all

Basher,
Just wondering if this is on a RAID or in a SAN environment? It seems like the kernel is not liking the RAID controller or the HBA?

It's a RAID controller. RockRAID 2340 from HighPoint
