ulogd in F11 won't work

It starts fine as the ulogd.log says but nothing ends up in the syslogemu.
the file is created but it's empty and so far I tried most thing I can think of.
I did this on another install of F11 and somehow that started to work after a couple of days and restarts and I can't think of anything I did to get it fixed.

Got any clue what can be wrong or that I missed?

I also see that there is a ulogd2 out and it seems newer is that some thing I should use instead or?
