KDE kicker....

Postby Master of Reality » Mon Apr 21, 2003 4:19 pm

soemthing bad happened.... gaim started to recieve a file transfer and crashed (the file transfer in gaim is extremely new and apparently unstable). Now i restarted X and KDE. But now for some strange reason the kicker only half works. The buttons and menu dont click but when i put my mouse over them they highlight like they should and apps i open (With alt+F2) still appear there... but clicking on it does nothing.
It has this error on the first concole where i started X:
....errr...it says something along the lines of...:
KIO connection refused (or lost) read failed. ERR #104

and it says that several times in a row, but doesnt show up in the log file... only on the console output when i go to it (with ctrl+alt+1)

file transfer is pretty new, i haven't used it yet.
i think at this early stage of the game, you might have to go and see if gaim has a list you can subscribe to, or at least browse.

i had a quick look on their page, but didn't see any evidence of such a list....
sorry to not be any help....

well kicker work is now being contrary and sometimes works and then stops. I might install slicker and use it instead.
