NEW Guide to Installing Steam

Steam / Counter-Strike

Install WineX3, followed by Steam.

Once installed, you may wish to copy your old SteamApps folder from Windows.
This contains all the games, saving you downloading them all again.

DO NOT run the Steam shortcut on the desktop... Delete this, it messes things up.

Open your HOME directory, and create a new text file and insert the below.
cd "/home/calvin/.transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Steam"
winex3 steam
Obviously correcting the path to suit your PC, and changing the username from calvin.

Save the text file, then rename it to steam.sh

Open a terminal, type the below.
link cs steam.sh

Now all you have to do to launch Steam is type cs into any terminal.
