man, if man -the command- not working properly

just some general info - which
a) took me a while to figure out
b) even longer to remember how to fix
c) some time to find the name of the command
if "man -k", apropos etc. don't work
remember to run "makewhatis" to update the whatis database
and yea - update every so often to update with new man pages

Found the whatis database was empty after installing FC3...
