A Question on openwrt

Postby grahambayley » Sat Jan 29, 2005 2:29 am

Hi Void Main,

Can you point me in the right direction in how to include an ipkg in a build of openwrt, so that when i TFTP the image to the router the package is inside the bin file and not using user space ???

Many thanks and btw you de-bricked my router twice now so i guess i owe you a beer or two ;-) Cheers man !

Have you been successful at building an OpenWRT image? I think that would be the first place to start. Once you get that process down you can place the files in a certain directory/directories when you build the image and have them included. It's been a while since I built one but it's probably about time to upgrade anyhow. I guess what I am saying is, I don't remember off the top of my head where to put the files without doing it myself. If you need a quick answer I would ask on the OpenWRT forums. I'm sure someone there will give you a quick answer.
