That is a pretty cool project. Waist of money but a cool project none the less. However the choice of using VB was a poor choice.

If it work it works, I just have an extreme disliking for VB.

If I had saw the VB piece I never would have posted it since it's nothing I can use anyway. The thing is the router itself is all Linux (OpenWRT, which is what I run on my two WRT54Gs). Controlling it would be trivial in any language. Of course it wouldn't be VB if I did it since I don't have any Windows machines. I can't imaging it taking more than a few minutes to come up with something to control it though.

It's a pity these people waste their time on stuff like this, while they could be using it to switch to Linux and learn a helluvalot about it - even help develop eventually. (Sorry. I just can't get over the fact that this person actually USED Windows)

I think that futzing around with different ways to connect Lego bricks to produce a complex model probably helps with Linux and my concurrent introductions to C and Perl. In other people, anyway - certainly not in me!
