OpenSource Firmware ?

Postby CrazYjimmY75 » Fri Nov 25, 2005 9:06 pm

Question... I have an old Blitzz 802.11b wireless router, model BWA611, can I flash this with a different firmware? Just experimenting. If so, where can I get the firmware? Most firmware I see is for linksys routers.

You would have a much better chance of getting an answer to this question over at the forums at www.openwrt.org (my favorite distro for the WRT and related routers). OpenWrt does run on a lot more than just LinkSys routers but you would have to check the list of routers on the wiki over there to see if it is listed. Even if it's not listed, there is a chance that it could run on your system depending on the hardware. There is a chance that someone on the forums would know the hardware in that device.
