I couldn't help myself. I ordered this on Wednesday and it came in today:

250GB drive with a nice enclosure that includes USB 2 and Firewire support. Even includes a USB and a Firewire cable. Not bad for $89.99 (after rebate)!

I got one of those, but totally different, it was USB only and I found it really lame and slow and I just ended up putting the harddrive in my computer.

I might get a firewire enclosure, when I fix my laptop (talking about fixing it, I got it working, there was a dead beatle inside it, all problems stopped after removing it) however this time the harddrive sounds like an angle grinder and ive not got a new one yet.

Sounds like you "debugged" it. :) Yeah, I'm finding my USB drive works fine for a while then just disappears. I'll probably just stick the drive in the machine myself. I can find an old drive to stick in the USB enclosure and still use it for moving large amounts of data long ways.
