It states that its not a prep certification program.
Its just exam questions and study material to help you guide you how to learn about Linux.
Its just 5 dollarios.

It seems to me it teaches you the bare basics and nothing more... Not worth it. Also, it kinda sounds like a "cookie cutter" type of program.

I disagree. I think it looks rather good. It says it is not a Linux prep course, but what they offer to teach plus some little reading could save a newbie hours of fun(?) and be a good intro for someone who only has to use it in the work environment.
An easy way to get people familiar and not scared. I personally want a professional qualification so I'm more inclined to head to Camp Red Hat and try out there, when I get a little time and money. But we will need courses like this to accustom people to the revolution.

Bah. Five bucks, eh? I can spare that... It still seems kinda silly, but I'll check it out. Maybe it'll be a really good program which we could recommend...
...But probably not.
