well, not that i have any scientific evidence or any expertise, but i suspect that that does have a lot to do with it, but there's been a lot of blether in the media about how our "carbon footprint" is miniscule compared with all the carbon that volcanoes belch out the whole time ergo: we're not to blame.

This reasoning helpfully ignores the fact that whoever's to blame, we're all still expected to live on this planet, global warming and all!

I vote for the ban of all volcanos until things cool down a little. In fact we should allow volcanic activity in the winter months only. :)
