I have been having Charter network issues again for the last few days. I'm going home at lunch and switching out my Cable modem. If that doesn't fix it I am going to order a DSL connection.

Odd. 5 minutes after I post this things seem almost back to normal. Hmmmmmmm. Is Charter reading this????

Yeah, seems a lot better now...
is that your cable being torn by the heat again? ツ

It acts very similar to that heat issue I had last year except it hasn't been hot out yet. I can tell it's still messed up. Maybe I'll trade the modem in tomorrow. On the other hand it HAS been warmer than usual and today is cool and rainy again. Maybe you are on to something.

Wow, I just ran some more speed tests from dslreports and right now I am getting perfect connectivity. It is much colder today than it has been the last couple of days so I'll keep an eye on it.

Heh heh, good idea. Actually I think I need to cool down the whole outdoors to fix the problem. I guess if I could do that then I would be rich because I would also have a fix for Global Warming. :)

i have always thought it a shame that a lot of places are far too hot and a lot are far too cold (well, for us humans i suppose). the thought first struck me when we stayed in alice springs for a few days. if there was only some highly efficient way to run a tube between alice springs and, say, edinburgh, then a lot of edinburghers could save money on heating and a lot of australians could save money on air conditioning! of course transferring that heat would generate a lot of heat as well no doubt, and if it resulted in a change in the ambient temperature then the wildlife (and therefore the whole ecosystem) would start to unbalance, so bang goes that idea.

Void, the market is saturated with fixes for Global warming. Nobody will buy that ;)

well, they've just proved that global warming isn't caused by humans, apparently, so it'll only be another decade or so before they tell us they've proved it doesn't even exist after all!

Haven't various 'they' proved that about 27 times these past years, while various other 'they' proved the opposite?
