Place to discuss anything, almost. No politics, religion, Microsoft, or anything else that I (the nazi censor) deem inappropriate.

advertising dumbness

while i was looking for the solution to my automounting issues, saw this advert at the top of one page talking about (of all things) mounting an external drive in ubuntu. Ludicrous!

"Vista is memory hungry!" it proclaims (well, that's what i've read for sure), then it goes on... "Do you need more RAM?"

NO! i damn well don't because i don't use bloody vista and i never will!, and every other system uses only as much memory as is generally needed, unlike microsoft's "products" which appear to only exist in order to generate a support industry for computer related problems, and incidentally a nice tidy microsoft tax every couple of years for the bill gates retirement fund.

do they think i am a moron or something? it's hardly like i was visiting vistausers.com/forumforidiots or something! i just couldn't believe the stupidity of this advert.

But Calum, the world is FULL of dumb people. :) The ones that really wanted to express their dumbness for all the world to see were camped outside of Best Buy before they opened on Vista launch day. :)
