I find it most interesting that he has never used Debian. It's a shame really because I don't think he actually would have had a problem with any of the listed reasons for not trying it. Besides, he actually has used Debian by using Ubuntu at one point. Looks like he's currently running F7 for the most part, not for any particular reason, but just happens to be what he currently has installed.

That's why he's a legend - because he is so dang smart. That "science vs. alchemy" paragraph explains things much better than any of ESR or RMS's papers do. He still seems a little unhappy with GPLv3. Saying that Windows "standardization" is "good for customers" is a bit interesting. But overall, I think he's a great guy to be the project figurehead.

Yeah, he said the GPLv3 license is now a good license, it's just not which is fine. I will personally be using the GPLv3 license for my stuff because I am fully on board with the spirit of the license, which I actually thought I was getting with GPLv2. The new one just spells a few more things out that I thought were already there in v2. I'm just happy the GPL was his license of choice. I firmly believe the GPL is the biggest reason that Linux is where it is at today.

As much as I admire Linus, I don't really think he's that good in explaining anything (it's always fun to read though).
Someone like Alan Cox (or obviously Moglen on the FSF side) is (IMHO) a lot better in this.

Yeah, Moglen is an excellent speaker. I wish he could hang around the FSF longer.
