Better Out Than In

Post by Calum » Mon Nov 07, 2011 5:19 am

Hi folks, well i know i've hardly posted in here for years, and that there are only about three active users now, but hey, you're all nice active users, so what the heck, eh?

I'm just popping in to give you a link to an album i am currently writing! It's a sort of challenge to see if i can write and record a whole album in the month of November, and it's part of nasoalmo (which is a website for people with a yen to write an album in one month).

So here's the link to my album, it's only one quarter done so far, if that, but by the end of November it should be complete and finished. Hope you enjoy it!

http://www.nasoalmo.org/?q=content/better-out

if we really need a linux connection, then can i say all the mastering has been done with audacity/ubuntu, and these songs have not been touched by any MS or Apple software on their way into existence. :-)

and while we're here, i might as well give you my real www address too, in case you're interested, it's http://www.calumcarlyle.co.uk - listen to the music, sign up on the email list, it's all good clean fun.

I don't have any illusions i'll actually win this competition, because it's about numbers of votes, but every little helps etc etc, so please vote if you like the song. Thank you! :-)

gee that was ages ago, eh?

Well, i have a new little collection, here you go, hope you enjoy:

http://calumcarlyle.co.uk/album/what-wait

Check out the other two releases before it (in the sidebar), Time Capsule and Strange Skies, as well if you like, they are an EP and a single, and they're a bit more varied than "Wait! What?" which is all one-guitar-one-vocal stuff.

Hope you're all well, by the way, it's a pity this little community's in the doldrums, it was good back in the day! That's the facebook effect for you though, i guess.
