The new 1.0-4349 nVidia drivers are out. The installation of the drivers are now nearly idiot proof. Too bad they don't make the required XF86Config changes, or at least display the required changes at the end of the installation program. So far the driver seems to work for me, unlike any nVidia driver after v3123 which is what I had been running until now.

I installed the driver on my Mandrake 9.1 box today and it seems to work fine. The simplified install seems to be a great improvement, although I cant say I ever had a problem with the install with 2 RPMS that they used to have. I think this will really benefit the slackware users, who have until now had to compile it from source.
