Opinions site layout...

I know this site is extremely ugly (intentionally as mentioned in the stddisclaimer.h). I had a little idea on making it more ugly. Just curious what your thoughts are on this.

Wonder if Red Hat would tell me to remove it if they saw it? This is just the front page but I was trying to think of something unique... and ugly... :)

I like the idea of making you front page look like a terminal, I don't think RH would complain, you aren't using their name and trying to make money off of their products and work, at least without giving credit where its due.

the reasons that am sticking with Red Hat are these:

a) Since its Linux you can basicaly go crazy and do everything manualy or you can use their user friendly apps to save some time and its stable as hell.

b) RedHat along with Suse and Mandrake are the only Distros as of now that can be the tip of the spear in bringing Linux to the masses. And they managed to have a Big Company with out selling out at the same time. Thats an intresting combo.

If RedHat has a problem with your ugly site then they can kiss my ass. Besides RedHat had an "ugly" (as in humble) begining.

The more terminal like the look the more radical the site is. Already the WWW is full of oops. What the WWW needs are ideas that break the celling and at the same time return back to the basics with out loosing any technological edge.
