Huh? I don't remember saying that, especially since it would not be true. I have been programming for much longer than Linux has been out (started in the early '80s).

You know what the *really* funny part about this is? That it's not a joke. I am totally serious about it. Everything I say is true if they install my recommended software. I know it may be slightly misleading as in one might expect something else at the end of the download links, but I am serious about the suggestion. I actually recommend that they do indeed install the software and be free from viruses once and for all. I would like to make the page a little prettier though and would take suggestions on other virus related advantages that they will gain. It really sickens me when I look around my workplace and see all of the wasted time using the software that they do and accept the headaches that come with it. It just doesn't have to be that way.

I have taken my own advice a long time ago (10+ years) and have been using the recommended software exclusively at home for over three years now with outstanding results. Not once have I had to rebuild a machine. Not once have I lost data or time due to a virus, or even get a virus for that matter. Sure many have arrived in my inbox, not one have effected me. Even my kids who would be susceptible to social engineering have never triggered a virus, or could do so even if they tried.

How about improve your system stability, and reduce hardware failures, not strictly virus related ... but true none-the-less.

How about a personal testimony?

Most antivirus ads i see are a lot more garish, with fake windows boxes saying things like "ANTIVIRUS ALERT!!! DO YOU WANT TO PURGE THE VIRUS?????" and a button marked "OK". then again i always close those (unless using mozilla, where they never come up anyway, as they are usually popups), on the other hand i don't need antivirus ads, because i took the void main solution about 3 years ago.

in fact here's what i have to say:

Virus free for three years running... and it's entirely free!!!!!

although it's not as good as frank's testimonial.
