Software Patents - Blasts in London

Place to discuss anything, almost. No politics, religion, Microsoft, or anything else that I (the nazi censor) deem inappropriate.

Software Patents - Blasts in London

Firstly, I hope none of you were effected by the blasts in London this morning (Calum, you still with us??).

Secondly, I can't believe I missed this yesterday. This looks good:

First off, I guess the G8 isn't as close to that victory over terrorism as they thought.

Second, it looks like this was just a small step. A small step in the right direction, but the politics behind it seemed ugly. The major issue is far from over. But at least some folks out there are in good moods.

software patents being thrown out is one thing, and that's good, but now that we have seemingly aimless terrorist bombings in london again (back to the 1980s in a way), and the people who are being paid to sort out the world's drought, famine and housing problems instead spend their lives bickering and lining their own nests, somehow software patents seem less important these days.
