Mine wasn't a joke. That is actually what my desktop looks like on all my servers. I don't even install X on servers (no graphical environment whatsoever).

I do just about everything from a bash shell except for web browsing and email reading, and for many years I even did that from a shell (well curses based apps anyway). I am much much faster in a shell than I am in some GUI app. For me a graphical desktop is little more than a place to hang a bunch of terminals.

Void is like an operator in the matrix...He watches the code roll down the screen ansd see's old man, car crash, P**N star getting *ahem'd*...

But he also offered me the blue pill to come over here and learn about the Matrix (linux world).
