Is there an equivelant player?

Postby JoeDude » Sun Dec 17, 2006 3:20 am

I jus was screwing around a bit with my kids on Nick Jr's web site, when FF decided to tell me I need adobe's flash player...all ready have it. So I clicked the manual install button and got redirected to 3d life player...it's only for windows, is there a *nix equivelant?

%$#$% proprietary garbage! :) They have probably designed the site to use a flash version higher than v7 which is the latest official Linux version. Of course there has been a v8 and v9 for Windows for some time now. There is actually a beta of v9 for Linux that is not available via the official download links. See this thread:

ive found flash 9 for linux works fine. If you were using the firefox nightly it has an automatic install for flash.

If it redirected you to a 3d life player site, i would think that its not flash that its using.

im right when i think 3d life is not at all associated with flash arent i?
