Firefox 2

Postby Basher52 » Thu Apr 05, 2007 5:55 pm

I was thinking how and if it is possible at all to change the menu in FF2.

I use the ALT-S so save posts, just as I will do with this post, instead of using the mouse every time, but this has been robbed in FF2 since the ALT-S is now connected to the menu.

I tried to remove the menu Item that uses the letter s(ALT-S) for opening the menu, but it didnt work as I expected.
The menu was removed but the ALT-S still is in use some how and this little thing made me reinstall FF1.5.

Is there a way to real get this thing I want or do I have to use the dang mouse ever time from now on :x

What is ALT-S supposed to do? It does nothing on my FC6 system with Firefox 1.5.0.10 installed. Having said that if there isn't a menu or configuration file way to do what you want you can always change the source to make it do what you want.

A new version and it's all the same :(
you Voidmain that was so good at finding a solution to this...
Can you get one for this too?
Have I search the www for this one? you bet I did :P

I need this cos I try to use the mouse as little as possible these days as I start to feel a burning sensation in my shoulders and in the upper back...
you all know what I'm talking about even though I don't know "your" word for it.
The last 2-3 weeks has been a pain in the ... and I really, really need this for me to let go of the mouse.

I'll try anything, just to get this "save/post/whatever" thing working.

Oh... and(don't know if you celebrate this, but...) Have a great "midsummer"

I just used the same instructions listed above for v2 in v3 and it worked for me:
