Need to make /boot bigger

Is parted/gparted safe?
I know if like... the electricity goes *poof* then you prolly be getting more work, but otherwise, is it safe?

and is there a special way to increase the size of /boot in difference to other directories?

I use gnome-disk-utility, which I think is better on telling me how to configure RAID.

GParted is pretty save though, but if you don't like it, you can try the one I use.
