quick gkrellm question

Postby Calum » Sat Apr 19, 2003 2:39 pm

i know this sounds dumb, but how do i get gkrellm to display on all four virtual desktops in X? Is this something that kgrellm can arrange by itself or does it have to be done via the desktop environment (which is xfce)?
if so, it looks as though i just have to run four instances of gkrellm however i have no idea how i will get that to set itself up properly at every login.

so can i get gkrellm to display on all virtual desktops do you think?

Right click on the GKrellm titlebar and click "Configuration", click "properties", check the "set sticky state" checkbox.

yep, tried it already (and restarted gkrellm), but it looks as though xfce doesn't want to pay any attention, sadly, it's still only on one workspace.

Ah, you didn't mention which Window Manager. Works find in Gnome/Metacity. I would not run 4 copies as that would just be a waste of system resources.
