What tree needed for NFS install?

Postby JasonAllison » Tue Jul 01, 2003 9:08 am

tree = all 3 install CDs.

Originally I thought it was just the RPMS tree. That didnt work. I then tried the RedHat tree, no joy.

I did some searching today and found this:
cp -av /mnt/cdrom /install
swap CDs and repeat (some stuff omitted).
I will then specify /install (or whatever dir) as the NFS path. Correct?

I am still searching, but would like to get closure before COB when I head home.

Thanks,
JAA

Well, you used to have to create an install directory structure (much like the directory structure on the first CD including the */RedHat/base directory, but also copy the RPMs from /mnt/RedHat/RPMS/* on the other two cds into the /nfsdir/RedHat/RPMS), but now all you have to do is put the ISO images in the NFS shared directory:

I copied the entire CD and it worked great. Thanks for the link.
