Mapping the useless win-keys

Postby Calum » Tue Aug 26, 2003 8:39 am

i found this:
http://134.76.25.165/~woelz/linux/kbd/keyboard.txt
and this:
http://www2.neweb.ne.jp/wd/fbm/kbd/kbd-e.html

and wondered if anybody knows how to map the gnome or kde start menu to one of those keys? obviously i'd first need to know the command to open the menu and secondly i'd need to do something so it'd know whether i am running gnome, kde or neither in order to work.

I'm not that bothered but it'd be nice to know, since i am sure this is implemented in some linuxes.

*hisssssss* i wrote an article about mapping the windows keys on my website that was competeing withing voids site for about 2 minutes.. (around when this site first started).
Its much more fun making them email bill gates a letter explaining why hes recieving it when you accidentally hit the windows key while playing a game.
